Sadly, Neil’s story at TAPS began because his owner passed away. Shortly after coming to TAPS, he was also found to have heartworms and needed treatment. The good news is that he is now heart-worm free and ready to find his happy ending with his new forever home.
They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend and Neil is no exception! He will be your best friend when he wants you to get him out of his kennel but once outside, he wants to explore and watch his kennel neighbors to see what they are up to. He will check in on you to make sure you are still willing to give him head rubs, which he loves, and then go back to exploring his surroundings.
Neil is the strong and independent type. He is strong on leash but is responding well to a harness. He is a staff and volunteer favorite and just a big love-bug.
